Denver Botanical Garden Delicate White Spider Lily
A delicate white spider lily, (Hymenocallis), shows off its unusual shape with long, thin tendrils extending from a central cup. Its paper-thin white petals and slender green filaments are contrasted by bright orange pollen on the tips of the stamens. Soft, even light illuminates the flower against a dark, out-of-focus background of lush green foliage. The bloom slightly left of center, capturing its intricate details next to a wilting flower on the right.
