Caprock Canyons State Park Rugged Red Rock Cliffs
A winding, rust-colored dirt trail leads through scrubby vegetation toward a massive, striated red rock escarpment of the Quartermaster Formation. Rough vertical erosion patterns in deep terracotta and ochre hues mark the rugged cliff face. Vibrant green juniper shrubs and pale, dry grasses create a sharp contrast in the foreground. Bright natural sunlight casts dappled shadows across the path under a deep azure sky filled with white cumulus clouds.
