Gulf Hagas Tree Artist’s Bracket Mushrooms
A pair of shelf fungi grows on the rugged, moss-covered bark of a tree, nestled amid a bed of crisp, fallen leaves. The larger of the two fungi displays concentric rings of gray and brown, edged with a striking yellow, while the smaller one mirrors this pattern on a diminutive scale. A lone green fir needle, having landed on the larger fungus, adds a splash of color to the earthy tones of the woodland floor.
