Wellesley Island State Park Forest Trail Benches

Mixed hardwood forest at Wellesley Island State Park, Fineview, New York (Thousand Islands, St. Lawrence River), dominated by mature oak and maple trunks rising from a slope of moss-covered granite outcrops and spring-green undergrowth. Warm low-angle sunlight rakes through the canopy, washing the bark and grass in golden tones while casting long shadows across a worn dirt footpath that winds through the center of the frame. Two reddish-brown Adirondack-style chairs sit on a small clearing in the middle distance, offering a focal point amid the textured layering of leaf litter, ferns, and exposed roots. A freshly cut log stump anchors the lower right foreground, its pale concentric rings contrasting against the cool greens and earthy browns that fill the rest of the woodland scene.
