Opened in 2009, Pappajohn Sculpture Park is a 4.4 acre park filled with avant-garde sculptures by 25 world-class artists. With the Des Moines skyline serving as backdrop, this unique pedestrian park offers the benefits of both the outdoors and an art museum rolled into one.
As you walk through the former granite farm you’ll see a myriad of colors, as local graffiti artists have made their marks along the edges of various cliffs and rocks at Quincy Quarries Reservation. On a nice day, climbers can be seen scaling the cliffs while hikers make their way to the top along the slope of the hills.
Overlooking the Blue waters of Casco Bay, with Victorian Homes as its backdrop the Eastern Promenade park in Portland's Maine, is a sight to be reckoned with. Covering just 78 acres of land, be it spectacular views, the sea, wildlife and monuments this park has so much to offer.
